In a positive start for the New Year, Davies and Partners has announced that Legal Director Katherine Pearce is to take over the role as Head of the Firm’s highly successful Medical Negligence and Personal Injury department, from Chief Executive Ewan Lockhart.

Katherine Pearce has headed up Bristol’s Medical Negligence team over the last two years and in her new role she will oversee the Firm’s renowned team of Medical Negligence and Personal Injury solicitors across our offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Devon, Gloucester and in London’s West End.
Katherine has many years of specialist experience in clinical negligence, handling all types of complex cases, with a particular focus on neurosurgery, spinal cord claims, and birth injuries.
Speaking about her appointment she said, “I am honoured to take the helm as Head of the Medical Negligence and Personal Injury team. Our department has a strong history of success, and I am dedicated to building on Ewan’s legacy.
I look forward to continuing to work with our amazingly talented team and steering our department to new heights to contribute to the ongoing success of the Firm. Our focus is to continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients and to achieve the best possible outcomes for them.”
The move will enable Ewan to focus on the continued growth and development of the Firm. He will continue to undertake complex and high value Medical Negligence claims and act as a Professional Deputy within the Firm’s Court of Protection Department.
Commenting on the move, Ewan said, “The last few years has seen major growth and development both for the Firm and for the Medical Negligence and Personal Injury Department.
I am delighted to be handing over the reins of Head of Medical Negligence and Personal Injury to Katherine, who has contributed significantly to the growth of the team with her kind and collegiate approach, a hallmark of the Department. I am looking forward to seeing the Department develop further under her expert guidance in the coming years.”
